The Role
We are looking for a HR Manager to be responsible for providing Human Resources counsel, services and support to ensure a highly productive, motivated, trained and professional work force.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Partner with leaders on strategic planning and annual planning processes with a focus on people priorities; determine talent implications of planning process
Partner with leaders on talent planning process and subsequent talent development strategies
Collaborate with leaders on improving organizational effectiveness through analysis of organizational structure and alternatives
Partner with centers of expertise to support talent acquisition, rewards, recognition, and development
Champion and role model a culture of inclusion and lead efforts and initiatives within business or function and as a part of the HR team to advance The Toro Company’s progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion
Advise managers and employees on talent processes, such as goal setting, performance review and merit planning
Provide advisory and consultative services on people-related issues
Provide coaching to managers on their own development, as well as guidance on employee relations issues, resolving conflicts, coaching techniques, and investigations
Leverage people data within global HCM (Workday) to provide actionable insights for talent strategies
Lead change management strategies and initiatives
Respond to and address general HR needs
Position is onsite at a mixed office/manufacturing plant facility.
What do you Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Minimum of 5-7 years of professional and progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment in China.
Education and Training
University degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of and ability to equitably apply Chinese statutes concerning all employment matters.
Ability to objectively investigate employee or manager complaints, analyzes data, and recommend and implement resolutions.
Ability to recruit, screen and onboard new employees
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in Chinese and English.
Knowledge of and ability to apply effective mediation and negotiation skills.
Current knowledge and ability to apply relevant local, and national, Labor and other applicable laws.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from regulatory agencies, management and employees.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees and agency representatives.
Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers.
Strong organizational and record keeping skills
Demonstrated capacity to grow, with experience and opportunity, to assume ‘whole of country’ HR responsibilities
Eligibility to travel outside China and obtain Visa to US and Australia
